Very elevated particle pollution readings overnight have given way to lower, albeit still Code Yellow readings this afternoon. Daily averages will approach the mid Code Yellow range. A backdoor cold front is slated sweep through late in the day tomorrow, likely offering a few hours of lower particle pollution readings that should hold daily averages in the lower Code Yellow range. As the front drifts back northward as a warm front on Thursday and southwest flow takes hold to round out the workweek, the current air mass is expected to stream back in and Moderate particle pollution levels will persist.
