Lewisville Historical Society presents ...The Battle of Shallow Ford
The Lewisville Historical Society invites the public to its Membership Meeting featuring a special presentation on The Battle of Shallow Ford: An Exhibition of Words and Watercolors by artist Rick Jones and artist and writer Marilyn Ingram.
The exhibition combines Jones' watercolor paintings with Ingram's written reflections to bring the history of the Battle of Shallow Ford to life. Featured works include scenes of the Shallow Ford and surrounding battlefield, Moravian settlements along the Great Wagon Road, and the annual Battle of Shallow Ford commemoration in Huntsville, North Carolina.
This exhibition is supported in part by the America 250 NC Community Grant.
Lewisville Historical Society Presents ... is a bimonthly program of the Lewisville Historical Society and the Lewisville Branch Library. It is free and open to the public. Participants do not need to be members of the society to attend.
