Read with Lewisville Branch Library For a Richer, Fuller Life during National Library Week

During National Library Week (April 19-25), the Lewisville Branch Library wants to celebrate with its community during National Library Week (April 19-25) through some fun and engaging events. Whether it's photos, games, or letters, there will be lots of ways to celebrate the Lewisville Branch and our customers.

Activities throughout the week:
  • Take a Shelfie! –Take selfies in your favorite spot or section of the library with fun photo props. Share the photos with staff for posting on social media or to be turned into a button.
  • Library Trivia Game – How much do you know about the Lewisville Branch? Play our trivia game for a chance to win a "sweet" prize.
  • Send Us Some Love – Let us know why you love the library. These “love notes” will be posted around the library circulation desk for the community to read. At the end of the week, the notes will be put into a drawing and the lucky winner will receive a small prize.

Program on Wednesday, April 22 at 5:30 p.m.:
  • Library Movie Matinee – We’ll be screening The Public (Rated PG-13). A librarian helps a group of homeless people take refuge from a brutal winter night by staging a sit-in at the free public library. When misunderstanding escalates into a hostage situation, a political candidate and a TV reporter stoke the drama for their own agendas. The Public stars Alec Baldwin, Emilio Estevez, and Jena Malone. ©2018 Universal Pictures. All rights reserved.
